Site philosophy

One haiku alone
Occupies so small a space
Better to have more

So the title’s a bit misleading: there is more than one haiku on this site, and they’re not even all haikus. One haiku might have become rather lonely rather quickly, wouldn’t you think?

In the name of fellowship among poems of all shapes and sizes and moody inclinations, post a poem; it will be [in] good company. :)

  1. What do you do with a revelation?
Once you get it, you hold it in your mind
    And it sits
    Staring imploringly into your eyes
    And asks, “Why”, “How”, “When”
Questions you have no answer for
    And there it waits
Until time and habit strip it away
And what once hit you between the eyes
Now brushes past like dust in a breeze
    In those precious few moments
The only way to make it live on
... is to write it down.
